The Corvus Gallery in the Gordon Parks Arts Hall now houses Shani Crowe’s Braids collection. It will switch to the Senior art showcase in April and stay that way until the end of the school year.

An artistic showcase will be held at the end of April through early June to celebrate the work each senior artist has put into their pieces throughout their time at U-High. The art must have been produced by a senior but can be from the 2018-19 or 2019-20 school years.

The piece submitted can be finished or unfinished but it must be completed by the end of May or early April, according to art teacher Gina Alicea, who is coordinating the show. She added that students could propose something that they want to do.

The senior showcase will have its own space in the Corvus Gallery during LabArts. Ms. Alicea feels that although pieces can be shown off during class, some pieces don’t get the recognition they deserve and thinks that this is an opportunity for the community to see what these students have been doing.

Submissions must be filled out and sent by March 6 through this link.
