Elizabeth Frost: Candidate for Cultural Union vice president
I want to have more opportunities for students of all grades to interact and have fun together. We can do this through friendly competitions and after school activities where students can spend time with other grades and just relax. The competitions would be similar to the Hunt but on a smaller scale and more frequent to promote more school-wide inclusion.
I’ve always been good at organizing things, spaces and my time. Also, since I was 10, I’ve planned all of my family’s winter vacations which has always been really fun for me. This year, I’ve also put a lot more effort into planning frequent meet-ups with friends both from and outside of Lab because of the pandemic. These experiences will help me when it comes to logistics in planning events.
I want to emphasize the need for breaks and relaxation time, especially during moments when a majority of the student body feels stressed by upcoming tests or projects. I feel that throughout this year, I’ve had a good understanding of the stress levels of students in all grades just by talking to them every day. Knowing the best time for events will ensure that we use the resources we are given efficiently.
