William Meyer: Candidate for Cultural Union vice president

When elected, I hope to better the community spirit at Lab School. I want to plan meaningful assemblies and events where people want to participate and have fun experiences together. I feel like certain things like sports, school assemblies, and general events are great places where the school can come together and create positive experiences for everyone.

I started to plan events during the pandemic while in quarantine. While doing online school, I planned online events with friends and people on the internet to bond. When school started, I made reciprocal clubs where we ran events like guest speakers, art fair workshops and mock trials.

Many people have this perception that interacting with teachers and administrators is a daunting task. However, after this year, I have realized that they are just like us. I will not be shy when interacting with adults in the school and I am willing to create strong relationships with these adults to ensure success among Student Council.
