Sarah Abdesalam: Candidate for secretary

One of the main things I want to focus on is ensuring that students are informed about what is happening at Student Council meetings and making sure that club meetings and workshops have an opportunity to present ideas to Student Council.

I have been at Lab for 14 years and have been in the shoes of the students, making me connected to their desires and hopes for the schools. I have also taken part in several activities where I have had to have serious discussions about the school and have pushed me into leadership roles, both of which I would channel into a position as secretary.

As secretary, I would ensure that students have access to meeting notes and take notes on what they have to say at club meetings, assemblies and forums so that Student Council and faculty can be made aware of their desires and concerns. I would always act on their behalf to make sure they feel heard and well informed.
