Ege Halac: Candidate for secretary

If elected, I would like to keep a more transparent documentation of Student Council’s plans from meetings and discussions in order to receive more effective input from the student body during the planning stages of school events to ultimately result in events that better reflect the high school population’s interests.

I am a good candidate for all-school secretary because I have experience taking notes and separating crucial information from details that are not important, a skill I have developed at Lab and during summer courses. Furthermore, I taught biology and math classes to middle schoolers. This taught me to separate important details and make it more understandable.

I will act as a liaison by keeping a well documented report of Student Council’s discussions and reporting them on the Student Council website. I will make sure to arrange multiple meetings between Student Council and faculty to increase communication for the planning of school events and voice student concerns to the administration.
