Aditya Gupta: Candidate for class of 2024 president
Primarily, I would reform Student Council to make it more efficient and effective by restructuring the processing of bills and by fighting for more independence and agency to be given to Student Council. I would also address mental health by trying to get Student Council representation on homework policies and creating publicized feedback forms that are anonymous. Furthermore, I will attempt to improve technology services by passing bills to change or improve our educational platforms.
Throughout my life, I have attended a variety of educational institutions — both public and private, and even institutions abroad. From this, I have a diverse set of experiences that would allow me to approach issues with new perspectives and ideas. At my previous school, I served as a class representative for two and a half years and at Lab, I was on the Challenge Success committee and am currently on the assistive technology leadership committee.
I will do this by keeping open ears to both sides and being responsive when others approach me. I will also host frequent and periodic town hall meetings for both faculty and students to discuss their concerns and issues. I will always keep a form for people to submit concerns and ideas with me and will always be responsive to those submissions no matter if I agree with them or not.
