The end of the fall semester will be pushed back to the week of Jan. 31, high school Principal Paul Beekmeyer announced in an email to the student body Jan. 3.

The Friday off of school for the transition between semesters has been moved from Jan. 28 to Feb. 4.

The schedule change was made to give students and teachers more time to wrap up the semester, as classes were canceled for the week of Jan. 3 for COVID-19 testing.

“I wanted to keep the same amount of time between returning to school after winter break and the end of semester, so not to have less time for students,” Mr. Beekemeyer said.

According to Mr. Beekmeyer, an updated schedule will soon be released.
