Sydney Tyler: Candidate for class of 2023 president

If elected, I would get snacks and possibly concession stands at grade-wide events like sports games. Another idea I would push for is more seating around the school for high schoolers to eat, socialize and work.

Leadership and a sense of community are two key components of being a successful president. I’ve been at Lab since I was 6 and know the grade very well. I was middle school president in eighth grade when I gained experience being in a similar leadership role. I have also been a leader of my fencing team, which has only improved my leadership skills.

I will make sure that students can easily reach out to Student Council with any ideas or concerns they may have. I will also use the school events as a way to check in with students and make sure they’re having a great last year at Lab.
