Model United Nations ends season with national award

In the last conference of their season, the Model United Nations team won the best large delegation award at the Northwestern University Conference.

The Model United Nations team won the best large delegation award at the Northwestern University Model United Nations conference April 13-16, its final conference of the season. 

“At some parts the team was a little bit low, but this was the perfect transition moment moving into next year,” executive board member Sohail Sajdeh said. 

He explained that this conference is the transition conference led by the juniors who will run the team next year. 

Under the executive board members’ guidance, many ninth graders were able to place for the first time. 

“I think it’s a great way to end the year,” Maria Razborova, another executive board member, said. “We’ve seen a lot of improvement on this team, and I think the team is in good hands for the next year.”
