Director of Athletics Matt Manley, who has been at Lab since fall 2023, will leave at the end of the school year, according to an email to the Lab community from Director of Schools Tori Jueds .
On June 17, former Director of Athletics Dave Ribbens, who retired in June 2023, will return as interim director for one year. The search for a permanent director of athletics will begin in the fall.
In the email, Ms. Jueds recounted some of Mr. Manley’s innovations this year. These included weekly update emails about Lab’s athletics, an expanded senior signing celebration, a Maroon Madness event, and the first Girls and Women in Sports Day celebration.
Ms. Jueds wrote, “We appreciate all that Matt has done for Lab. As he moves into the next chapter of his career. Please join me in wishing him and his family all the very best in their future endeavors.”
