SWEATY SERENITY. Besides benefits like increased sweat production, flexibility, and the detoxifying effects, hot yoga brings many other gains including stronger bone density, better skin, and ease of depression.

SLEEP SABOTAGE. Exposure to blue light and media before bedtime can disrupt sleep by interfering with the body's circadian rhythm and reducing the natural buildup of sleep pressure. This makes it harder to fall and stay asleep, leading to increased fatigue during the day.

Video: Sophomores celebrate ‘joy in service’ with dance, activities

On Feb. 11 during Lab A, the Class of 2027 gathered for a bit unconventional DEI assembly. Instead of meeting in Gordon Parks Arts Hall, sophomores met in a decorated C116 for a lively dance-a-thon. The assembly was planned by Rebecca Reaves, assistant director of diversity, equity and inclusion, and the student impact leaders. The goal of the “Joy in Service” dance-a-thon was to celebrate the act of service, tying into the sophomores’ year of service requirement. In keeping with the theme, hot chocolate was sold for $1 to support a local Love Fridge.
