On Monday, Feb. 24, faculty and staff gathered in C-116 for a joyous lunch celebrating Community Service Officer Cynthia Boykin, most commonly known as Ms. Cynthia’s retirement. In a speech by Director Tori Jueds, Ms. Cynthia was awarded a special edition of the Billy Streeter Award and a mini 3D-printed version of her early dismissal bench.
In her speech, Ms. Cynthia expressed gratitude for the Lab community.
“So many beautiful people,” she said, “and I’m only getting back what you guys have given to me.”
Ms. Cynthia has been an essential number of the Lab community for 23 years, and her dedication and love for the community was reflected in the messages others shared about her:
Fran Spaltro, world languages teacher
Dan Green, community service officer
Whitney Amuchastegui, parent and staff, alumni relations and development
Mike McGehee, director of safety and security
Sylvia Anglin, lower school principal
