Music classes a place to express, find community

Ninth-grader Clare O’Connor sings a solo for a choir performance at the 2020 Martin Luther King Jr. Assembly. While many simply use choir to fulfill the music requirement for graduation, some continue into Bel Canto or other music classes afterward.

The music department at Lab works hard to provide opportunities to students interested in dedicating time to music beyond the graduation requirements. Many students take advantage of this, studying voice or an instrument or music theory all four years at U-High.
