Math team disappointed with 4th

Despite two students receiving perfect scores, the Math Team placed fourth at a recent contest.
At a North Suburban Math League competition Jan. 31 at Walter Payton College Prep, Fiona Abney-McPeek, freshman, and Charles Chen, junior, were U-High’s top scorers.
“It was actually not our best competition,” co-captain Roshni Padhi, junior, said.
The team was scheduled to compete in the American Mathematics Competition Feb. 7, but results were unavailable at press time.
Upcoming competitions include the Illinois Council of Teachers of Mathematics competition Feb. 24 and the NSML finals in March.
