Parent-teacher conferences to remain virtual

Parent-teacher conferences will be held again virtually this year due to positive feedback from parents about the format last year.

Parent-teacher conferences will be via Zoom on Nov. 17 and 18 and will work the same this year as they did last year. Students will not have school on these days.
Teachers will create links parents will use to sign up.
There will be an informational session on Oct. 20 for parents with questions about conferences.
The same format will be used because there was positive feedback from parents.
Zoom will allow parents to interact remotely, assistant principal Zilkia Rivera-Vazquez said.
There are a number of challenges of setting up parent teacher conferences.
“It’s a massive undertaking to organize,” Ms. Rivera-Vazquez said.
