From the fan-favorite dishes of mac and cheese and fried chicken to cornbread and candied yams, different traditional African American foods lined the long table on one side of C116. BSA catered the mac and cheese and collard greens from Lab’s food vendor, HandCut Foods, and the rest was catered from Harold’s Chicken.

Juliana Daugherty is a member of the Class of 2027 and is an audience engagement editor. She joined the U-High Midway in the 2023-24 school year as a ninth grader. She enjoys reading, spending time with friends and family, watching movies and listening to any type of music in her free time.

Caroline Skelly is a member of the Class of 2027 and is an audience engagement editor. She began journalism in the 2023-24 school year as a ninth grader. Outside of journalism, she enjoys reading, lacrosse and being with friends and family.
Orlie Weitzman
Orlie Weitzman, Assistant Editor
Orlie Weitzman is a member of the Class of 2027 and serves as an assistant editor. She joined the Midway staff in the 2023-24 school year as a ninth grader. When she's not writing, Orlie loves dancing, spending time with her friends and always has at least three books on the go.
