Orlie Weitzman is a member of the Class of 2027 and serves as the opinion editor. She joined the journalism team in the 2023-24 school year as a ninth grader. Orlie values community-centered journalism that shares diverse stories and points of view. Her favorite piece she has written is “Crossing with care: Hyde Park crossing guard brings connection, positivity.” Outside of writing, Orlie enjoys ballet, volunteering and being with friends.
