The Alumni Relations and Development office will continue to fundraise and plan activities despite the vacancies of two administrators.
Rob Buckla, associate director of schools for alumni relations and development, and Brad Grimmer, director of development, both left in September.
Mr. Buckla began working at Lab in February 2023, , and Mr. Grimmer in July 2023.
The ARD staff continues to work on their packed agenda, with events to be planned and money to be raised.
The ARD staff aims to keep alumni engaged and connected to Lab through communications, and to make the current Lab students feel a part of a larger community, said Suresh Mudragada, director of alumni relations and giving.
The staff has increasingly planned programs outside of Chicago, to connect with a wider pool of alumni. These events are held in major cities, such as Boston, Los Angeles and New York. Last year there was a reunion in New York, and this fall one was held in Los Angeles.
