Two seniors signed letters of intent Nov. 13 to play sports at NCAA Division I universities.

Surrounded by family and friends in the cafeteria during lunch, Sebastian Ingersoll and Sarah Lurye committed to their respective universities.

Sarah committed to Duke University for fencing and is eager for an official new chapter to her life.

“It’s opening a new journey. I’m really excited to start fencing in the NCAA,” Sarah said. “I’ve definitely worked hard these past four years. But this officially marks the start of a new journey.”

Sebastian is committed to the University of Illinois for gymnastics and is thrilled to compete at a high collegiate level.

“I’m super excited,” Sebastian said. “It’s taken a lot of work to get here, and it’s nice to make this finally official.”

The two athletes smiled big for pictures and were congratulated by peers and family following the ceremony.
