Student Council will again host International Day on Feb. 26, a community-wide potluck in which foods from different cultures are prepared and provided by staff, students and parents, and those who are interested in contributing food to this event should complete the form before Jan. 21.
International Day, which will be held in C116, was started last year during ArtsFest with the intention of celebrating community and highlighting different cultures in U-High.
Students and parents are encouraged to bring international dishes for members of the U-High community to sample.
All-school president Lisa Tao, a senior, stressed the significance of community involvement for this event.
“So many students at Lab are first- or second-generation immigrants, and a lot of these people have so much culture that they’re willing to share,” Lisa said. “Parents are such a great helper to that. Their involvement definitely drives the event.”
