The first midterm comments since the Laboratory Schools has gone into distance learning will be released at 3:30 p.m. Nov. 9. Midterm comments are an important part of any semester, but may be particularly useful this year as students adjust to the new learning format.

The goal of the comments is to provide a snapshot of a student’s progression in their class, Assistant Principal Asra Ahmed said.

In order to better reflect the requirements of distance learning teachers will be focusing on different aspects of students performance both inside and outside of class.

“Parents, we know, and students too, are looking for feedback and engagement on homework and staying on track with work,” Ms. Ahmed said.

Along with standard PowerSchool comments, some teachers are also using the Schoology grade book as a way to help students stay up to date on their assignments.
