Peter Cox is an assistant editor for U-High Midway and a member of the Class of 2023. He joined started journalism in the 2020-21 school year as a sophomore. Peter enjoys journalism, because it lets him learn more about perspectives other than his own. He is a member of the robotics team and outside of school enjoys riding his bike.

NEW NAME, SAME ROAD. The Jean-Baptiste Pointe DuSable Lake Shore Drive now bears the name of Chicago’s first non-Indigenous settler. Along with a museum, bridge and statue, the roadway memorializing DuSable represents the growing influence of the African American community in Chicago.
