What sort of ideas, projects or initiatives do you have for next year? What is your main goal?

“One initiative would be a sustainability committee. Daniel Chang and I have talked to Ms. Jueds. She was the one who brought it up. We’re planning to set up a meeting with administrators like Mr. Wachowski and also Green Team to explore some things we can implement to improve sustainability at Lab, such as a composting system or a program where you can donate your old textbooks to younger grades.”

What experiences and skills make you qualified for this position?

“I’ve been on Student Council in high school for two years, so I’m used to working with people, and I think I’ve gotten comfortable just talking face to face with people. So I think I could really listen to what people want and then implement those ideas.”

How do you plan on being the middleman at the intersection of high school students, faculty and administration?

“I would hear ideas from high school students, and if it can turn into a bill, I would propose it in Student Council. Then we would find ways to work with administrators and faculty to get those changes implemented.”
