U-High Midway

Clare O’Connor
Clare O’Connor is a student in the Class of 2023 and works as a reporter for the U-High Midway. She joined the Midway staff as a freshman during the 2019-20 school year. Clare appreciates that her work on the Midway provides her with opportunities to interact with a diverse array of people. So far, Clare’s favorite story she worked on is “Community, creativity, nostalgia: Refresh of ‘Animal Crossing’ recaptures minds of American teens.” In addition to journalism, she participates in Lab’s theater productions and works as a volunteer coordinator for a nonprofit refugee education center. Clare uses her unscheduled free time to play the ukulele and play around with song compositions on her computer.
