The Ouroboros Review literary translation journal is accepting submissions for Volume 3, themed “Women of Color in Translation +” until Dec. 18.

The volume will be released in spring 2022. Club leader Penelope Huang said that they chose the theme because they wanted to promote the voices of women of color abroad while changing the way their words are perceived.  

“We wanted to translate from women of color, regardless of what country they are from or what language it is,” Penelope said, referring to the original writers. “We wanted to make sure everyone is getting exposure.” 

 Penelope said that the past year influenced the choice of theme.

She said, “We started thinking about what we could do in our limited space with literary translation.”
