Seven Midway students have been selected for new leadership roles. New assistant editors are Louis Auxenfans, Peter Cox, Audrey Park and William Tan. The new content managers are Chloe Ma, Audrey Matei and Sahana Unni.

Assistant editors will work on editing and AP style formatting while also helping less experienced staff members along the way.

“With being an assistant editor, you just have more responsibilities in general, and you get more involvement on the team in terms of pitching stories,” Audrey Park said.

The new content managers will be promoting the Midway to several different social media platforms to get more exposure and readers.

“We get to handle a lot of publicity for the Midway and allow people who may not otherwise have seen the Midway to be able to read it,” Sahana said.

Lucia Kouri, Midway co-editor-in-chief, said she is looking forward to seeing how the new assistant editors put their ideas to paper.

“As an assistant editor you get introduced to a new world as a reporter you didn’t get to see before,” Lucia said.

Lucia hoped the staff would see positive results of content managers promoting the Midway on social media.

Lucia said, “It’s super exciting to have content managers, because they’re going to be dedicated to just that side of the Midway.”
