Spinning out: Sophie Volchenbaum, Jewish Students’ Association co-vice president, participates in a March Madness-inspired dreidel-spinning competition after working hard to pull together the Hanukkah celebration. Contest winner James Sowerby said, “It was really fun to compete with everyone, it was something I hadn’t done in a while so it was really fun.”

On Dec. 3 during lunch the Jewish Students’ Association held its annual Hanukkah celebration in person for the first time in two years in Judd C116. JSA leaders did not expect the large turnout they experienced. “We never expected this many people to come out and support the Jewish community, or even have this party,” JSA President Ava Eggner said. “We haven’t had this in years.”
