U-High’s boys basketball teams played their first set of home games this weekend.

Both the junior varsity and varsity teams played their first home games yesterday against Northridge College Prep. The junior varsity team lost 48-50 and varsity finished with a 48-46 win.

Dance Troupe took the court during halftime for their first performance of the season. This is the first time the group, which has expanded from just five members last season to a roster of 25 members this season, performed in new uniforms.

The varsity team also won 54-36 against Christ the King College Prep in the Zeke Upshaw Memorial game Dec. 1. After the game, the jersey number of Zeke Upshaw, a 2008 U-High graduate who died in March, was retired.
