The Ouroboros Review literary translation club is hosting a launch party for its translation magazine at the Seminary Co-op bookstore from 4-5 p.m. on May 6. U-High students are invited and encouraged to attend.
Copies of the magazine will be available to purchase for $10, and students and faculty will read some of the translations.
Senior Lucie Bhatoey-Bertrand, a member of the club who will read aloud at the event, thinks the magazine gives a new perspective on literature that often isn’t available in regular classes.
“It gives an opportunity for students to participate in and engage in writing in a way that I don’t think is really an option at a lot of other schools, so it’s unique in that way,” Lucie said. “It’s also an opportunity to explore language, if that’s something that you’re passionate about, too.”
