While the school year comes to a close, the U-High community has had many opportunities to celebrate this year’s memories. To commemorate the oldest students at school, Lab community members cheered for the Class of 2025 at the Senior Clap-out on June 5. On the same day, seniors presented their May Projects to all grades in Upper Kovler. That day and the next, the 2025 yearbooks were distributed to students, who had the opportunity to leave messages in each other’s copies. This was the first spring yearbook in many decades.
Students played games, watched performances and ate Popsicles in the Student Council’s Labstock event June 6 with their friends. Finally, members of U-High boogied their feet off at prom June 7, where students got dressed up in big poofy dresses and suits to dance together.
While the year is over, the memories made during these special events are sure to last for much longer.
CONGRATULATORY CLAPS. Senior Danny Baeza hugs math teacher Shauna Anderson during the Senior Clap-out on June 5. For this event, every member of the Lab community lined the walls of the school, cheering and high-fiving the seniors as they ran through the halls. This tradition made Danny reminisce on his time at U-High. “It was definitely a bittersweet moment knowing that I’m stepping away from such a supportive community that has helped me grow so much over the past four years,” he said.
