This season, U-High’s winter sports athletes put in the work until the last second, and it shows in every free throw, butterfly stroke and dance performance. These teams saw an array of successes, from the dance team’s two state championship qualifications to the boys basketball 20-point win over rival Tinley Park on Feb. 2.
For many players, the bond between teammates is an important component to success. Sophomore Anik Jeffrey, a varsity boys basketball player, attributes a strong sense of collaboration to the team’s success.
“Teammates are very supportive, bringing energy, and always talking,” he said.
