Tryouts for the spring musical, “Something Rotten!” will be held after school in Sherry Lansing Theater March 3-6. Auditions will run from 3:15-5 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, and 3:30-5 p.m. on Thursday. 

“Something Rotten!” was a last-minute selection because of restricted licensing rights. It opened on Broadway in 2015, and is just now becoming available for use by other production companies, including schools. 

The musical comedy, written by Karey and Wayne Fitzpatrick, is set in England during the Renaissance. Brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom attempt to keep their company up and running by performing the first “musical” of the time.
