On Tuesday, Oct. 31st, Halloween morning, parents and costumed students filed into Earl Shapiro Hall for the annual halloween parade. Children ran off to their classrooms to set down their bags while adults congregated in the lobby, exchanging pleasantries as members of the band, instruments in hand, prepared to lead the parade.

Students and parents gathered for the annual Halloween parade at Earl Shapiro Hall on Oct. 31. Students in the high school band, with instruments in hand, faced the heavy wind and light flecks of snow as they led the parade, greeting the excited children in their elaborate costumes along the way.

Skye Freeman is a member of the Class of 2025 and is an audience engagement manager. She joined the journalism team during the 2022-23 school year when she was a sophomore. Her favorite piece she has written for the Midway is her story on the U-High drama teachers, Mr. and Mrs. Ambrosini: “Love that Lasts: U-High theater teachers married for over 50 years flawlessly execute show after show.” Outside of journalism, she enjoys playing Badminton and is vice president of the Students with Disabilities Association and of the Junior States of America club.
