The Finance Club is hosting Andy Dunn, a co-founder of the men’s apparel brand Bonobos, on Dec. 14 in Room C116 during lunch.

The co-founder and former CEO of a national menswear retailer will address his journey creating the company in a discussion with U-High students hosted by the Finance Club on Dec. 14 in Room C116 during the lunch period, 12:05-12:45 p.m.

Andy Dunn, a co-founder of Bonobos, the men’s apparel brand, served as the company’s CEO for 11 years, before Walmart purchased Bonobos for $310 million in 2017.

Sasha Duda, a director of education for Finance Club, said club members reached out to Mr. Dunn, a Chicago native and resident, to shift away from their usual repertoire of guest speakers.

“We usually have a lot of professors coming in and speaking about their experiences, and although we think that that’s very valuable, we are kind of reaching out to people that are in entrepreneurship and the business side of things,” Sasha said. They will be looking into the business side of finances.

The discussion is open to the entire Lab community, focusing on how Mr. Dunn formed his company and what goes into running one. Students will have a chance to ask him questions about any of his endeavors, and how his interest in finances helped with his work.

Mr. Dunn is a Stanford business school graduate and has founded two other companies.

Sasha said, “He will mostly be discussing his journey and kind of how he was involved in the finance world and what kind of things students need to know to get into a career in a place like that.”
