The prom committee has organized a sweatshirt-selling fundraiser to reduce the cost of prom tickets this year.

The prom committee has organized a sweatshirt-selling fundraiser to reduce the cost of prom tickets this year. The sweatshirts are $55 and are a deep maroon in color and feature the letters “UH” in bold white. These sweatshirts are available for purchase through a Google form and are available until 1 p.m. on Feb. 16.

Students will be billed through their FACTS accounts.

These sweatshirts are sold on a biannual basis and will not sell again until 2026. Anyone who purchases a sweatshirt should receive it by spring break.

Faculty and staff interested in purchasing should pay Dean of Students Ana Campos in advance with either a check or in cash. Either form of payment should be dropped off in Ms. Campos’ mailbox in the high school office or given to Devita Smith in the dean’s office. Both forms of payment must be received by Feb. 16.

Senior Yolotzin Martinez, a prom committee member, encourages high schoolers and faculty alike to purchase a sweatshirt to help reduce the high cost of dance tickets for students.

“We are just really hoping that everyone who wants to buy a sweatshirt buys one,” Yolotzin said. “We are really pushing for the ticket price to decrease.”
