New leadership positions have been announced for the U-High Midway. Six U-High Midway staff are taking on assistant editor roles, and four are taking on audience engagement editor roles.
New assistant editors are Lila Coyne, Ari Novak, Sohana Schneider, Lucy Shirrell, Declan Smith and Orlie Weitzman, while new audience engagement editors are Naomi Benton, Abhay Chandran, Juliana Daugherty and Caroline Skelly.
Assistant editor Sohana Schneider said she was excited about her new role.
“I’m really excited to work closely with different sections of the Midway,” Sohana said. “City life and features are some sections I really want to learn more about.”
Audience engagement editor Naomi Benton said she is looking forward to promoting the Midway on social media in creative ways.
“I am excited for my new role as audience engagement editor because I get to promote the Midway in aesthetic ways and interact with the readers,” said Naomi.
Editor-in-Chief Chloë Alexander said she is for the upcoming year and new talent on the team.
“I’m feeling great,” Chloë said. “This year we have had an influx of very capable and talented writers on our team. We are really looking forward to the amazing work they are going to do.”
