HandCut Foods has introduced a new online menu that showcases the entire month’s breakfast and lunch menus at both Earl Shapiro Hall and Café Lab.
The purpose of the menu, hosted by Nutrislice, is to inform the Lab community of the food options available, as well as specific allergens and food restrictions.
Gabriela Munoz, Café Lab manager, found this method successful in other schools, and she said parents liked it.
“I think it gives them an idea, especially for students that have allergies or you know limitations on meals, on what they can have,” she said.
HandCut Foods staff used data from last year to design this menu. They plan to implement ideas from the students and faculty to represent and welcome different cultures.
Ms. Munoz said, “It’s a big community and we have, like, a lot of different cultures and everything, so I think they’re just trying to welcome everybody in and influence other students to be able to learn a little bit more of other people’s cultures.”
