With course selection on their minds, U-High students will refer to the program of studies and informational sessions to decide what classes to take. However, not all classes students want to take are represented in the program. Here are ideas for classes U-High students would like to see added.
“I’d like to add cooking. Maybe fine dining would be fun and engaging. I’d sign up for that.”
— Austen Wu, junior
“Something health-based, something on the course of becoming a doctor, because we don’t really have anything in that field.”
— Liv Rodriguez, junior
“I don’t know if they have it already, but I’d offer AP Art History for everyone.”
— S.J. Jackson, ninth grader
“I think it would be really cool if there was a game development class, or something about management in gaming, because that’s something really specific that people are interested in.”
— Charlotte Hillenbrand, ninth grader
“We’d like a class on the integrity of elections, because that’s something that people should know about, but might not yet.”
— Kiran Mullangi, senior said while agreeing with James Hubbard, senior
“Maybe Engineering 101 or robotics as a class, so we can have more opportunities related to those subjects.”
— Fred Nafziger, sophomore
“I’d like to add another econ (economics) class or something, because I think a lot of people are interested in that kind of thing.”
— Luca Allesina, junior
“I would like a history course on the United Kingdom, because I’m from England and there’s a lot of courses on American history. I know we have Euro (European history), but there could be a more specific course.”
— Alethia Isaac, ninth grader
