Horror lovers now have a new haunt. The Horror Club, a Tier 1 club dedicated to creating, watching, reading and discussing horror media, began meeting Wednesdays in N214 at lunch and during lab periods.
Junior Alex Dearing created the club to have a space to talk about horror media — specifically horror movies — something she’s loved since childhood. Her goal for the club’s first year is to create a space for other horror lovers to embrace horror media, and even write a few pieces of their own, to hopefully be submitted to U-High’s Renaissance Literary Magazine.
“I like horror movies,” Alex said. “I just thought it would be fun to gush about horror movies at school.”
The club is planning to host parties and potlucks in the future. Attendees are encouraged to dress up every week for meetings.
