Once remote learning begins on March 30, all U-High courses will be moved to pass/fail for the second semester of the academic year, according to an email from Laboratory Schools Director Charlie Abelmann sent to families at 2 p.m. March 16.

The decision was made in conjunction with the University of Chicago admissions office.

Additionally, all fourth-quarter and year-long middle school courses will transition to the pass/fail system, according to the email.

This decision comes following the decision to indefinitely transition to remote classes.
