The Connections gala, a biannual fundraising event, raised a total of $1.295 million for the Laboratory Schools financial aid program. The gala took place at The Geraghty on Feb. 7 and raised money through tickets, table sales and a silent auction.
The event featured performances from the middle school jazz band, Chamber Collective and Chamber Winds. Three seniors — Daniel Chang, Kate Ryan and Xia Nesbitt — gave speeches as part of the program. The Maroon Keys also attended the event to talk with the guests.
Curtrice W. Scott, director of alumni relations and development, said the event was an overall success and was happy with how the night turned out.
“Part of the evening really is about community building,” Ms. Scott said. “It was beautiful, people had a wonderful time. They supported the mission of the Laboratory Schools.”
