What ideas, projects or initiatives do you have for next year? What is your main goal?
I want to improve student engagement around developing event ideas. One idea I have is to create event polls to understand what students in our grade are most interested in doing.
What experiences, skills and other qualifications make you a good candidate for this position?
As a ninth grade officer this past year, I was able to plan memorable events and gained organizational and leadership skills. My participation in Model UN has taught me how to communicate and collaborate with others to develop creative solutions to problems. Finally, as a member of the tennis team, I appreciate the value of communication and promoting each other.
How do you plan on being the voice of students while working in conjunction with faculty and admin?
I feel I am approachable and easy to talk to and I hope to motivate students to identify what can make their high school experience better. There may be perspectives that we don’t always know about and I want to encourage everyone to feel like they have a voice. I plan to communicate the needs of the students even if they don’t represent the majority.
